Best Time to Buy or Sell in San Antonio
If a picture is worth a thousand words, this graphic from the San Antonio Board of Realtors (SABOR) says it all when it comes to the local real estate market right now.
In the recently released market statistic report, housing inventory hit a low of 4.4 months at the end of October, and the 1,839 single family homes sold represent an 11% increase over the same time last year. The SABOR statistics include narket areas such as Fair Oaks, Boerne, Bergheim, Comfort and Bandera among others.
Steven Gragg, 2013 SABOR Chairman of the Board says “All year we have seen prices and sales of homes show year-over-year increases, demonstrating San Antonio’s economic strength. Jobs are being added, interest rates remain low and both buyers and sellers are able to find success in this market.”
Home buyers can take advantage of the 2,588 new listings that came on the market in October alone (up from 2,346 in October 2012.)
And with the average price of a single family home up 6% and average days on the market down to 69 days, there appears to be no time like the present for homeowners to sell!
